This is a vintage 1980's cherry red textured silk avant garde jacket custom made in Thailand. The original owner of this piece has an outstanding designer wardrobe and we were fortunate to be able to acquire her entire estate. Every piece she owned was unique and interesting.
This sensational vintage jacket has a narrow hip fit with a wider upper body. There is a very unique striped effect created with the use of vertical and horizontal topstitches. There is a central diamond like shape in the center and a curved hem in the front opening.
This jacket has shoulder pads to give it more structure and the lapel is open folded over to show a solid/plain red silk. There is a single fabric covered button closure and the jacket is fully lined.
Made in Thailand of 100% Silk and labeled size M. We estimate this would best fit a modern day size M/L. It can be worn more oversized by a range of sizes.
The shoulder measurement is one to pay close attention to when determining fit.
